The Allen Bradley 1734-4IOL is a 4-port IO-Link master module designed for distributed industrial I/O systems. It enables direct communication between a control system and intelligent field devices such as sensors, actuators, and identification systems that support IO-Link protocol.
Unlike traditional I/O modules, this module allows both cyclic process data and acyclic parameter/diagnostic data to be transmitted over a single standard cable. This greatly improves visibility into device status and simplifies configuration.
The module is compact, modular, and well suited for decentralized architectures where field-level intelligence is required. It can also support standard digital I/O devices when IO-Link is not used, making it highly versatile in mixed installations.
