The Epro PR6424/000-110+CON021 16mm Eddy Current Sensor+Eddy Current Signal Converter combines a non-contact eddy current sensor with a signal converter for rotating machinery measurement. The sensor detects changes in the distance between the probe and a conductive target, while the CON021 processes the sensor signal for use by the connected monitoring electronics.
This combination is suitable for applications requiring continuous monitoring of shaft displacement, shaft position, or other movement-related conditions. It can be applied to steam turbines, gas turbines, compressors, pumps, generators, and other rotating machinery where mechanical movement needs to be monitored without contacting the moving component.
The sensor and converter form a complete measurement path from the machinery measurement point to the monitoring system. The resulting signal can be used for condition monitoring, alarm functions, and machinery protection.

| Weight | 0.32 kg |
The PR6424/000-110 sensor detects the distance between its sensing tip and a conductive target using the eddy current principle. Changes in shaft position or displacement alter the measurement gap and consequently the electrical response of the sensing circuit.
The sensor output is connected to the CON021 Eddy Current Signal Converter, which conditions the measurement signal for the downstream monitoring electronics. The monitoring system can then evaluate the measured shaft movement against configured operating limits.
A typical signal path is:
Rotating Shaft → PR6424/000-110 Sensor → CON021 Signal Converter → Machinery Monitoring System → Alarm / Protection
The mechanical installation of the probe and the electrical integrity of the complete signal chain directly affect measurement quality.

The PR6424/000-110 detects changes in the distance between the sensor and a conductive target, allowing shaft displacement or position to be monitored without physical contact.
The CON021 conditions the electrical signal from the eddy current sensor and provides the appropriate signal path for the associated machinery monitoring electronics.
It can be used in rotating machinery monitoring applications such as steam turbines, gas turbines, compressors, pumps, generators, gearboxes, and turboexpanders, depending on the required measurement and monitoring architecture.
Check the probe mounting, probe-to-target position, sensor cable, electrical connections, CON021 connections, and monitoring electronics. The actual machinery operating condition should also be reviewed to determine whether the signal change is caused by mechanical movement or an instrumentation problem.
