The Epro PR6423/019-111+CON031 8mm Eddy Current Sensor+Eddy Current Signal Converter combines an eddy current sensor with a CON031 signal converter for non-contact measurement of conductive targets in rotating machinery applications. The combination covers both the sensing point and the associated signal-conversion stage of the measurement channel.
The PR6423/019-111 sensor is positioned close to a conductive shaft or target. Relative movement between the sensing head and target changes the eddy current response, which is then handled by the CON031 converter. This arrangement allows mechanical movement to be represented as an electrical signal for downstream monitoring equipment.
The combined configuration is suited to machinery where shaft displacement, axial position, radial movement, or vibration-related movement needs to be monitored without physical contact. Typical installations include turbines, compressors, generators, motors, pumps, and other critical rotating equipment.
For maintenance work, the sensor and converter should be evaluated together with the complete monitoring channel. Probe positioning, target characteristics, installation gap, mechanical stability, wiring, converter operation, and receiving equipment all influence measurement performance.

The PR6423/019-111 sensing element generates an electromagnetic field at the monitored target. When a conductive shaft moves relative to the sensing head, the eddy current response changes with the target-to-sensor relationship.
The CON031 Eddy Current Signal Converter receives the sensor response and converts it into a signal suitable for the associated monitoring system. The downstream equipment can then use the measurement for shaft position, displacement, or vibration-related monitoring functions.
