Voltage and current measurement circuits are independent inputs. A problem with current-transformer selection, phase association, polarity, or wiring can produce incorrect current and calculated power information even when the voltage measurements appear normal.
Start by checking the voltage and current wiring, phase identification, current-transformer connections, and configuration parameters. The displayed value should then be compared with the expected load and, when necessary, an independent measurement.
The replacement should be checked against the existing voltage measurement arrangement, current-transformer configuration, phase wiring, and meter settings. Recording the original wiring and configuration before removal helps reduce commissioning errors.
