The PR6423/010-130 uses an eddy current sensing principle to detect changes in the distance between the probe and a conductive rotating target. The probe establishes an electromagnetic field around the target area. Movement of the shaft changes the electrical response of the sensing circuit, allowing relative displacement to be detected without physical contact.
