The ABB PSE370-600-70 is a high-power softstarter from the PSE Series, used to control the starting and stopping of three-phase motors. It reduces the electrical and mechanical stress associated with direct-on-line starting by controlling the voltage applied to the motor during acceleration.
The PSE softstarter is suited to motor-driven equipment where high starting current, sudden torque, or mechanical shock can affect the motor, driven machine, or connected power network. During startup, the softstarter progressively increases the motor voltage so that the motor accelerates in a controlled manner.
